Sundayfndayz is a collaboration of 3 friends: Parker, Ryker and Rush (Russia or Alexey), though it isn’t at all limited to us 3. We love having any of our friends in our videos that are willing to help and have a good time making them. The name itself came around a few years ago when we used to all meet up for a Sunday Funday to go to the diving boards and then all you can eat sushi.

 

What is High On Life?

High on Life is the attitude to embrace all of life’s opportunities with a positive outlook and energy. It’s also the name we have given to our now incorporated company and clothing line.

 

What happened to Max?

Max has chosen the stable corporate life path of an office job. He now does tax analysis for commercial real estate. We still love him and appreciate his involvement whenever he is willing.

 

Where are you guys from?

We normally live in Vancouver British Columbia, unless we’re off traveling somewhere.

 

How old are you guys?

We’re all the same age, born in 88.

 

How long have you known each other?

We’ve been friends since high school and university. Some of us up to 12 years.

 

Did you guys go to Uni?

Yes. Ryker has a degree in psychology, Parker and Rush Marketing.

 

How come you guys are traveling all the time?

Because it’s addicting. We feel that the best education a person can get is by traveling the world and immersing oneself in different cultures and ways of life. It makes you more worldly and changes your perceptions and priorities. It’s also a ton of fun and amazing new experiences and contrary to popular belief it isn’t expensive at all once you trade in your rent and car insurance payments for a backpack, a plane ticket and take advantage of different currency values.  And if you can… You Should!

 

Are you guys rich? How can you afford to go all these places and have fancy cars in your videos?

Nope, we all come from middle class families. We just worked for a while and saved up money to go traveling. Along the way we started making some money on line and getting sposnsorships which have enabled us to keep doing what we love doing. As for the cars, they aren’t ours, we just have cool friends who let us play with their toys.

 

Do you have jobs?

Well, we did, full time, now we focus all our energy on High on Life and Sundayfundayz. Parker worked as a bartender, Ryker as a DJ/Entertainment Manager at a Bar, Rush at an advertising agency doing on line marketing.

 

What is High on Life Clothing?

We designed and made some tank tops while traveling through Thailand in 2012. It has since become a full clothing line with products for all seasons. Wherever our travels take us we keep a look out for cool styles and designs that we try to bring back with us. Currently our products come from Thailand, China, Peru and Nepal.

 

Who are your inspirations?

Ever since we were kids we loved Jackass. We even made our own videos and called Dumbass and sold CDs to the kids at school. So Viva La Bam, CKY, Wild Boys and all the other stuff. Lonely Island is another big one. I remember watching “We’re just two guys” back in high school and laughing our heads off. Nitro Circus is another, and Rob Dyrdek. It’s an ambition to build our own Fantasy Factory one day where we can hang out, work and make videos.

Lenses: Canon 14mm 2.8 L, Sigma 15mm 2.8 fisheye, Canon 24mm 1.4 L, Canon 15-35mm 2.8 L, Canon 50mm 1.4, Sigma 85mm 1.4, Canon 100m macro 2.8 L, Canon 135mm 2.0 L, Sigma 50-500mm
We also have a 60d 2 go pros and a simple hd camcorder.

 

How do you make your pictures look so vibrant and colorful, what effects do you use?

Photoshop. With the help of a few plugins: Alien Skin Exposure, Red Giant Knoll Light Factory, Topaz Labs Adjust and occasionally some photoshop actions shared by users on deviant art.

 

What do you use to edit your videos?

Mainly Adobe Premiere, and occasionally After Effects if we’re trying to add some sort of effects, but there’s still a lot to learn about the latter.
